The improvements will be completed in five key phases, with each focusing on specific sections of the lot to minimize disruption while maximizing long-term benefits. These enhancements will include:
- Concrete repairs to improve durability and appearance
- Redesigned Gateway entrance for clear and streamlined entry point
- Aesthetic upgrades, including fresh paint on fencing, corridor walls, and light fixtures
- New stairwell near the Washington St walkthrough corridor
- Enhanced lighting in the corridor for improved safety and visibility
These changes will improve traffic flow, increase pedestrian safety, and provide easier access to Washington Street.


What to Expect During Construction
From July 28 to December 2025, parking availability at the Haviland Lot will be limited. We appreciate your patience as we complete these essential upgrades. Alternative parking options include:

- Maritime Garage [11 North Water Street]
