Important Notice for Permit Holders
Any snowfall or forecasted snowfall that requires plowing operations activates Park Norwalk’s snow removal restrictions. This restriction is independent of any City-declared Snow Emergency.
If snow accumulation is expected to require plowing, vehicles must be removed from the facilities listed above between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM, regardless of whether the City of Norwalk has declared a Snow Emergency.
These restrictions are necessary to allow snow removal contractors to clear parking facilities, travel lanes, walkways, and pedestrian access areas safely and efficiently.
Permit holders are responsible for monitoring weather forecasts and making alternate parking arrangements in advance of winter weather events.
Enforcement
Vehicles remaining in restricted areas during snow removal operations are subject to:
- Parking citations
- Towing or relocation
- All associated towing and storage fees
*Violators will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.

Declared Weather Emergency
When the Mayor declares a Citywide weather emergency, additional parking restrictions may be implemented to support snow removal operations, emergency access, public safety, and the continuity of parking operations. Vehicles may be required to be removed from designated Park Norwalk facilities, open surface parking lots, and parking spaces located within City-designated Snow Emergency Zones, as directed.
For information regarding weather emergency declarations, snow emergency operations, and emergency parking restrictions, motorists should monitor the City of Norwalk’s Snow Center and official communication channels. Park Norwalk may provide supplemental updates regarding parking operations as conditions warrant.
Notifications
Park Norwalk may distribute email notifications when significant weather is forecasted. However, the absence of a notification does not suspend or modify these restrictions. Permit holders remain responsible for monitoring weather conditions and complying with all applicable weather parking restrictions.
